Osteria da Pampo is a typical Venetian osteria in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Our Genoese origins are reflected in our dishes. We offer a variety of first and second courses, both seafood and meat, that draw on the gastronomic traditions of Veneto and Liguria.
Every dish at Osteria da Pampo is a marvel and a work of art!

Relive the authentic atmosphere of a typical family-run Venetian osteria.

Traditional Venetian cuisine meets Ligurian recipes, for evocative and surprising flavours.

Rediscover the beauty of being together and simple things to share happily.
Step through the door of Osteria da Pampo and take a dip into the past! Off the tourist trail, the atmosphere is still the familiar one of yesteryear, when it was Pampo who gave his warm welcome.
Its authenticity and friendliness can still be felt today! Since 2016, we, Paola and Martina, mother and daughter, together with a close-knit team, have been here to welcome you. Just like a big family, we love to welcome you and let you relive the atmosphere of typical Venetian taverns.
Colourful furnishings, placemats with customers' drawings hanging in the windows and the beautiful soup tureens collected by Paola make this a wonderful place to meet, in a warm embrace between Venetians and visitors. Today, as then.

Everything in its own time, says an old proverb. And we have taken this saying to heart.
We respect the changing seasons so that each dish can express every nuance of flavour to the fullest. The ingredients are strictly local, zero km.
The vegetables, for example, are grown on the island of S. Erasmo, known as the vegetable garden of Venice, the fish comes from local fishermen, while the cured meats and cheeses come from small producers in Veneto and Friuli.
We prepare everything to order, so depending on the availability of certain ingredients, you may find one or more different dishes added to the menu each day.
At Osteria da Pampo, you can relive the Venice of yesteryear through the dishes of the past. Unique stories of the sea, sailors and ancient traditions are brought back to life in our recipes. These stories are intertwined with those of Ligurian cuisine, our land of origin.
And so the intense nuances of typical Venetian cuisine are complemented by the energetic touches of Ligurian cuisine. Recipes that retrace the culinary culture of two of the most renowned cities of the past, with their differences and similarities. Especially the fish-based recipes.

The unmissable Sarde in Saor, flavoured with a marinade of onions stewed with vinegar, raisins and pine nuts, have the taste of tradition. Golden to perfection, Pampo's Gran fritto misto, with fish and vegetables, is a perfect pleasure to share. Two cod recipes are the protagonists of La Sfida delle Repubbliche Marinare (The Challenge of the Maritime Republics): Venetian-style creamed cod and Genoese-style brandacujun, creamed with potatoes. Let yourself be enchanted by the taste of the typical Spaghetti alla Busara with prawns in a spicy red sauce and, in the summer, by the irresistible Trofie al Pesto Ligure. Among the desserts, all homemade, you cannot miss the classic Tiramisù and the version enriched with seasonal fruit.

The food was authentic and beautifully prepared, with fresh seafood and traditional Venetian flavors. The atmosphere felt warm and local, far from the tourist crowds. I highly recommend trying the spaghetti alla busara or any of the daily fish specials. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, itβs the perfect spot to experience real Venetian dining

We stumbled into this lovely restaurant while walking through the quiet part of the Castello Sestieri in Venice. The quality of the food, the wind and especially the service was first rate. And we could tell this is where the locals come for dinner. Highly recommend.

Great service and menu, food was cooked to perfection Would definitely recommend conveniently located close to our hotel

My son and I had dinner here one evening. Every course was delicious as was the recommended wine. Price was very reasonable for the quality of the dinner. The place is clean and staff are professional and courteous. Ambience is basic, good for family & friends not a romantic dinner. This part of Venice is a bit off the beaten path which we enjoyed.

This is one of our favourites restaurants in Venice - and to be honest - in whole Italy. Very short menu with expetional dishes. Saffron risotto I could eat daily π

Another excellent meal at this charming little osteria in Sant'Elena. Good value and fool simple but delicious. We will definitely be back.
